Spinney at Pond View offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Years day holidays. We all hope you are able to celebrate the holiday season with your family and friends!

Alexis Diner Delivery Opportunities

Thursdays beginning December 6th

Alexis Diner will be delivering meals from a specially priced Spinney menu ($9.99/meal) ordered by residents – menus available in the Clubhouse. The following process will need to be followed: – For your first order ONLY, residents will need to call in their order and payment information into Alexis Diner at (518) 286-2603. – Once this call has been placed, all subsequent orders will be made by leaving your order at the front desk in the Clubhouse. All orders must be placed by 4PM the Wednesday prior to delivery. Once Spinney offices have closed on Wednesday, orders can no longer be placed. Once orders are left with the Leasing Office, all resident orders will be faxed together Thursday morning. – Alexis Diner will be delivering every order placed weekly at 3:30PM in the Clubhouse Great Room. Each order will be labeled with the individual’s name who ordered it.

Any questions at all, please contact the Leasing Office at (518) 479-0800. We hope you utilize (and enjoy!) this amazing service!

Christmas Tree Pick-Up

With the help of County Waste, we are helping to facilitate the pick-up of REAL Christmas trees again this year on Thursday, January 10th. If you purchase a real Christmas tree, please notify the Leasing Office by the close of business on Thursday, January 3rd. County Waste will ONLY be collecting trees from addresses that we provide to them on January 3rd.

Chair Yoga December/January Schedule

A note from Joan, our community yoga instructor: Merry Christmas Friends & Neighbors – Classes for December are: 12/5, 12/12, 12/19. No class on 12/26. The tentative classes for January are: 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30. Between Santa’s work and 1/9, we will be napping. Decorate your cottage for the holidays by December 9th to be considered for the Cottage Decorating Contest. Judges will be walking around the community on that date. Winner to be announced at a later date.

November 2018 Community Newsletter

OFFICES CLOSED: Thursday, November 22nd & Friday, November 23rd Spinney at Pond View offices will be closed Thursday and Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope that you enjoy your holiday with family and friends!

Dog Feces Issue Throughout Community

We continue to have reports of dog feces not being picked up throughout the community. Dog feces can carry disease if left unattended and picking up of feces is a requirement as a dog owner on a Pet Lease at The Spinney at Pond View. Please note that if you are a dog owner and not picking up, this is a violation of your Pet Lease and your pet may be required to leave the property.

E-mail Correspondence Issues

It has come to our attention that some residents are not receiving our e-mails. All resident communications are sent through our property management system to the e-mail address that was provided to us at lease signing. If your e-mail address has changed since you moved in, please provide your new e-mail address to the office so that we can update your profile. If your e-mail address has not changed and you’re still experiencing issues, please add the following e-mail address to your Contacts List: donotreply@appfolio.com and let our office know so that we can contact our property management company to ensure your e-mail address has not been “blacklisted”.

Poker Players Needed!

Tuesdays, 6PM

Tuesdays at 6PM there is a group of residents that play poker in the Clubhouse and more players are needed. If you would like to play, come down to the Clubhouse on Tuesday nights or call Bob DiFazio (518) 813- 9275 at for more information
Bible Study Schedule

Due to the upcoming Holidays the Bible Study Group will meet on the following dates: Thursday, November 8th at 6:30PM Thursday, December 13th at 6:30PM The regular 2nd and 4th Thursday schedule will resume in January. All are welcome.

Fall Chair Yoga Schedule

Hi Friends and Neighbors:

Well after a very exciting summer, we are ready to begin Fall Yoga classes. The dates are 9/5, 9/12, 9/19 and 9/26. We will begin slowly, knowing that we are listening to our bodies and doing what they allow us to do. No experience is necessary and we have chairs to assist us when needed. There is a fee —  for all this fun time. It is $2.00 per session and if you would like $8.00 for the four weeks in September. If this is an issue for you, please don’t hesitate to speak with me. Yoga is a passion for me and I know how much it has made a positive difference in my life. I am just here to share.

August 2018 Newsletter

Outdoor Space & Noise

Please be cognizant of your neighbors and their right to quiet enjoyment of their cottages by ensuring that outdoor noise stops by 8PM every night.  Especially with the presence of the pool and back patio at the Clubhouse this is a courtesy that needs to be extended to those in cottages that abut the space.  This ordinance applies to both private parties (where the Clubhouse has been reserved) and Spinney activities led by Karen.  Management and your neighbors appreciate your observance of this.

Healthy Bones for Life in August

The Healthy Bones for Life class will not be held in the month of August, but will return back to the Clubhouse in September!  More information will be provided in the September newsletter.

June 2018 Newsletter

Garage Storage Safety Issue

During cottage inspections last month, maintenance noticed that a number of residents have items stored in their garages which are blocking their electrical boxes.  This poses a safety hazard and cannot be blocked.  This box is on the wall which abuts your cottage’s kitchen and has a grey cover on it.  If you have any question regarding whether or not you have items blocking your electrical box, please call the Leasing Office and maintenance can check for you.

Spinney at Pond View Directory

Resident, Linda Kospa, is updating the Spinney Community Directory.  She will be putting information in your doors at the beginning of June.  If you would like your name, address and phone number in the directory, please fill out the form and place it in the marked box in the community room.  If you are unable to get to the community room, please call Linda at (518) 465-3282 and leave a message.

Ask someone you know that is a regular attendee what benefits they have experienced and how they like the class. You only do what your body allows you to do. There is no EGO or COMPETITION in Yoga just a better working body, internally as well as externally. NAMASTE!

May 2018

Happy Spring!

We are currently cleaning up and seeding winter damage around the property.  It has been observed that on top of winter damage much of the damage is due to residents and guests driving off of the road onto the dirt/grass.  Driving over newly seeded areas will deter grass from growing as well as contribute to a non-appealing landscape.  Please be mindful especially when turning into your driveways as to not cut the corner and drive over the dirt/grass.

Pick up your chicken BBQ dinner in the Clubhouse parking lot.  Forms will be distributed, and all information will be available on the sign-up sheet in the Clubhouse.  No need to think about what’s for dinner!

Community Garden Preparation

As we plan for the Spring season, we are getting ready for construction on the Community Garden.  The garden plots will be located behind the Clubhouse.  We are looking to gauge interest as to plan for how many plots we will need to build.  If you are interested in a plot, please place your name on the sign-up sheet so that we can better understand the number of interested residents at this time.  Thank you!

Spring Etiquette Reminder

The Leasing Office has received quite a few complaints regarding pet pick-up throughout the community now that the snow is gone.  Please ensure to pick-up after your pets so that all residents can enjoy walking around the community.
